Post-Study Work Rights / Stay Back Option
You must apply for a long-term visa through the Polish embassy or consulate if you are from a nation other than the EEA or the EU. The enrolment certificate is necessary for this. The visa is only good for a 1 year. Although the local administrative office can renew the validity. The maximum stay on this visa in Poland is 3 months. Now, the only option you have if you wish to extend or prolong your stay and require a post-study visa in Poland is to apply for a residence permit. It is the usual rule under the Polish government.
The students must have adequate funds to cover the cost of their stay and valid documentation of their health insurance plans in order to apply for the permission. But it's important that you submit an application for a temporary residence visa within three working days of arriving in Poland.
What if you Wish to Stay Longer?
If you want to stay in Poland for more than a year, such as if you're enrolled in a three-year bachelor's programme, you will need to apply for a temporary residence permit. You can obtain a permission by going to your local Voivodship Office.
