Benefits of studying in Australia
High-Quality Education
It is a fact that the Australia is a great place to live. But, the country also offers a world class education as well. The Australian education system has contributed heavily to make the world a better place to live. The country’s education system produced many scientists, designers, educators, entrepreneurs, artists, and humanitarians. Their achievements include the “black box” now on every airplane, earth hour initiative and the invention of Wi-Fi. The country has a long tradition of world-class research and development. The discovery of penicillin in 1945, the discovery of acquired immunological tolerance in 1960 and the discovery of Accelerating Universe in 2011 are the contributions of Australia to the world. The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) allows students to easily move through the education system and provides an easy way for countries around the world to recognise your qualification.
Multicultural Australia
Multiculturalism has been a policy and concept since its introduction in Australia in the 1970s. The country values the importance of cultural diversity and social sophistication that international students bring to the campuses and communities. The Australian government provides great care in looking after international students and helping them to adjust to the Australian way of life. The crime rate is comparatively low in Australia and a strict gun control law is in place, providing a safe environment. People from about 200 countries have already migrated to Australia, making Australia one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.
Different Education Programs to Meet Individual Needs
Do you have a specific study subject of interest? There is every chance that you will find it in the Australian universities. Despite having a population of just 23 million, Australia ranked third in the world after the UK and the US on the highest number of international students. Seven of the top 100 Universities are in the Australia. With over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions, Australia sits above the countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and the Japan. Besides, the Australian government is providing over A$200 million each year for international scholarships.
Great Support Services for International Students
Australia offers many consumer protection and support services to international students. These include services provided directly by institutions and services provided by the state, territory, and federal government departments. The services include:-
Consumer Protection:
To protect the right of the Australian consumers, the country has a strong consumer protection framework which also covers international students in Australia. Besides, the Australian Consumer Law includes a national law which guarantees consumer rights when buying goods and services.
Overseas Students Ombudsman:
The Overseas Students Ombudsman (OSO) investigates complaints about problems that international students have with private education and training institutions in Australia. The Ombudsman’s services are free and independent.
The Tuition Protection Service (TPS):
An initiative of the Australian Government to assist you if your institution is unable to fully deliver your course of study. The TPS may also assist you if you have withdrawn from, or not started your course and are eligible for a refund of tuition fees.
Part-time working for overseas students
Ability to work while studying is one of the most appealing aspects for overseas students to choose to study in Australia. Countries like Canada, the US, and the UK have restrictions on working.
Scholarships
The Australian government offers many scholarships, grants, and bursaries which can help support you financially with your studies in Australia. The scholarship and grants are offered by the Australian Government, education institutions, and a number of other public and private organisations.
Beautiful Australia
Australia has some of the world’s most distinctive and diverse natural environments, with unique wildlife, and spectacular landscapes, including many national parks and world heritage areas. The country attracts millions of visitors each year. Popular tourist destinations like Sydney and Melbourne offer world-class sightseeing experiences to visitors, but there are many less popular travel destinations in Australia that are often underrated and overlooked.
